ISOGRID-SST™ produces design definitions for isogrid and waffle structures
produced by machining plates in the flat,
followed by brake, roll, creep or explosive forming and sizing.
ISOGRID-SST™ predicts minimum allowable forming radii
based on PS.A proprietary empirical and parametric data. These predictions
depend on the hot and/or cold forming methods employed as well as on the optional pocket fillers used
during forming.
Such capabilities are integrated into the ISOGRID-SST™.
Its structures synthesis, design
and instantaneous concurrent engineering processes also account for allowable minimum
gauges and manufacturing tolerances in rib and plate cross sections.
Therefore, ISOGRID-SST™ always only optimizes and defines structures that
are producible.
